Platform Tennis or “paddle” as our players call it, is a unique sport mainly played through the autumn, winter and early spring in Rochester. At Shadow Lake, we maintain 5 courts plus a warming hut for our players to enjoy. Did you know Rochester is home to some of the best paddle players in North America? It’s true!
The Shadow Lake Invitational Tournament has been challenging participants for over 30 consecutive years. The facility has also hosted the American Platform Tennis Association Nationals since our courts were built in 1980.

The hottest sport for the past few years at Shadow Lake has been beach volleyball! We don’t have a beach, but we do have tons of sand featured on 2 lighted courts that get used heavily April through September each year. Form a team to join one of our existing leagues or move all the teams you know to form a new league with us. Shadow Lake has a great deck overlooking the courts and features food and beverage service to keep you energized all night long!
